Does God Know, Does He Care?

Scripture Text
Matt. 10:29-31
Psalm 139:1-7, 16-18

Intro: Have you ever wondered if God had lost your address, or that He has forgotten you, or He doesn't care about you or your situation? Have you honestly ever had those thoughts? If you think God has forgotten you or He doesn't know or care about you or what's going on in your life, then His word to you is no, you are not forgotten or lost from God, and He does care.
  1. Does God care about you? [Matt. 10:29-31] There are over 7½ billion people on earth and yet God has His eyes on you and His eye is on the sparrow! a. If you feel estranged from God, you have gotten away from Him and His care. Matthew 10:30 (NKJV) But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. This verse says that God knows so much about you He has every hair on your head counted. So does God know and does He care? Jesus asks a question in Matthew 10:29 (NKJV) Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. And then He answers that question in Matthew 10:31 (NKJV) Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.   You are very valuable to God and He delights in you. He gave His Son for you because you are priceless to Him.
II. Does God know about you? [Psalms 139:1-7, 15-18]
a. King David answers that question in verse 1 of Ps. 139. It was revealed to him that God has a thorough and infinite knowledge of mankind. He not only knows you, He knows what you are experiencing right now at this stage in your life. He knows everything about you and He does care. In verse 2 look what it says! God knows your every thought. He knows your every move. Even if you are not aware of His presence, He's not only by your side if you are a christian, He lives in you by His Spirit. If you are not a Christian, I will tell you how you can be at the end of this message.
In verse 3 God has laid out a path for your life. He will help you through the hard times and the good times. God sometimes has us to stop and rest. Psalms 23:2-3 (NKJV) 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Does God know? Every moment God knows where you are. Psalm 139
In verse 4 God knows what you are going to say even before you say it. He knows what's on your mind and in your heart at all times.
In verse 5 God precedes and follows you. You are constantly surrounded by His Spirit. His Spirit is not only in us, His Spirit also surrounds us. His hand of blessing is on your head. Yes God knows and He cares. Do you recognize His hand of blessing on you? In verse 6 All of this is to wonderful and glorious to believe and yet it is all true.
In verse 7 you can not ever be lost to God's Spirit and you can never get away from God's presence. No matter where you go, God is there! Does God know about you?
In verse 15 God formed your inward parts and covered you in your mother's womb.
In verse 16 God saw you before you were born and scheduled every day of your life before you took your first breath. Every day of your life is recorded in His book.
In verse 17 God thinks about you constantly. How precious that is to know. He knows what's going on in your life every moment. Does know and does He care?
In verse 18 God's thoughts toward you each day can't even be counted. His thoughts are continually toward you and you never leave His thoughts 24/7's. He watches over you while you sleep protecting you from all harm.
When you wake up in the morning God is still thinking of you, charting your path for the day.

Conclusion: Yes God knows and God cares for you and I. Turn to Him each day in bible reading, meditate on His word, and commune with Him in prayer. You will find strength, comfort, and rest for your soul that you didn't know you could have.
Won't you put God first in your life right now! Make a determination to keep your focus on Him rather than worry. It will change your life and you will never be the same.

Invitation: Does God personally know you as His child? John 3:16 says “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” Ask Jesus to forgive you and invite Him into your life to take charge of you and you will have eternal life and you will know His power and presence in your life.
Christians, let's make a new determination right now to live the rest of our lives in the power of Christ to be able to overcome everything that comes our way. Let's be aware of His presence in us and around us each day and night.

We Shall See Jesus!

Psalms 17:15 (NKJV) As for me; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness. 1 John 3:2-3 (NKJV) 2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Intro: There's a day coming that all Christians are looking forward to. It is that day when we shall see Jesus face to face. What a joyful day that will be. Both King David and the apostle John wrote about that day with joy.

I. It will be a day of supreme satisfaction. [Psalm 17:15] [1 John 3:2] John says, “it has not yet been revealed what we shall be,” and David says, “I will be satisfied.” Satisfy means To fulfill the desires, expectations, needs, or demands of (a person, the mind, spirit);  give full contentment to:iT MEANS to put an end to (a desire, want, need, etc.) Nothing but God can satisfy the wishes of an immortal spirit. He made us with limitless capacities and desires; and He alone, can meet and gratify all these desires, and fill our mind and soul. No soul was ever satisfied but by God; and He satisfies the soul by restoring it to his original design, which was lost in the fall of Adam and Eve. God made us and only He can completely satisfy us. King David also says in; Psalms 16:11 You God, will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; fullness means to be; completely filled; containing all that can be held; filled to utmostcapacity: At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
II. It will be a day of great transformation. The apostle John says “but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him,” and David says I will awake in Your likeness.” When we see Jesus face to face, we will suddenly be transformed into His glorious image. The apostle Paul says in; 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 (NKJV) 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed52- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead bodies will be raised incorruptible, (free from decay and ruin) and we shall be changed. Philippians 3:20-21 (NKJV) 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. 1 Thess. 4:16-18.
III. It will be a day of an enlarged vision. John says “ for we shall see Him as He is,” and David says “I will see Your face in righteousness.” 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
John 14:1-3 1 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. Revelation 22:4-6 4 They (God's children) shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever. 6 Then he said to me, "These words are faithful and true." And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place. Whether we live or die, Jesus is coming soon!

Can you imagine being face to face with our Savior and Lord? We should be preparing ourselves to meet Him for it will be soon. Are you preparing yourself for the day that Jesus breaks through those clouds to take us home to be with Him?

Invitation: Have you asked Jesus to forgive and save you from the penalty of your sins? If you do not know Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord, you will be left behind when Jesus returns for His church and you will have to face all the things that are coming upon this world. Ask Him right now to forgive you and invite Him into your heart. Then you shall see Jesus face to face.
